9/28/2023 0 Comments Trine 3 metacriticWhat makes me happy here is that the Trine 1 spirit has been resurrected, there are no pointless secrets and chests filled with poems (I'm looking at you Trine 2), no irrational puzzles or goblins. Sure, the rpg elements have been removed and the collectibles are easier to find, but that's nothing. It features a lot of interesting enemies and ideas and the best level designs in the entire series. Trine 3 gives us back the great puzzles of Trine 1. This one is definitely better than Trine 2 and the sh**ty dlc "Goblin Nickelback". It's still the same awesome game, that the first part was. That's cool and all, but does it really matter? No. It features a lot of interesting enemies and The spirit of the Trine has been restored! Trine 3 is the first game in the series that's in 3D. There are different ways this can be achieved, from difficulty settings in the options menu, to mechanics (especially ones that make sense in the context of the world) that reward the player for limiting themselves in specific ways. The spirit of the Trine has been restored! Trine 3 is the first game in the series that's in 3D. However, in most cases, it's better if the designer crafts the game well enough that most players don't have to arbitrarily limit themselves for the game to be properly fun and challenging. In some games, the player is expected to take responsibility for his own entertainment to a certain degree and that's fine - this is especially true in sandbox games. If you can use the same couple tactics to handle everything the game throws at you, that hurts the game's depth.Īnd while it's true that you could decide to abstain from using certain tactics if you find them to make the game too trivial, IMO it's poor design to require the player to handicap himself like that to get a fair and entertaining challenge. Having fewer options can be good in the same way it's good for a game not to make the player overpowered compared to the game's challenges. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
